I wanted to touch on a very important subject, whom many try to avoid; the subjects of how are Veterans are treated in this country when they are no longer needed. The facts are that 50% of disabled Vets (if not more), live in poverty. This is disgraceful for our Country. It is no wonder that the Nation is going belly up; we are merely reaping what we have sown. This is obviously nothing new in our country; in fact since the Vietnam War, this Country has basically left the war Vet to fend for himself. Mind you high ranking soldier like Generals are usually taken care of, but they also spend their lives in the Army, Navy. Marines, etc...
It's the sort terms that tend to pay the most. These young men going into serve
their country with hopes of getting help with education, or to get a career
started, find out only to quickly that is never going to happen. When these
young fellows get hurt with in the first couple years of duty, they tend to get
lost in the system. Living on minimum wage disability checks, and finding that
life is no longer accessible to them, because they can not afford anything.
Although Obama has many opposing forces in the Nation, they should stop and
applaud his focus on these very disturbing issues. Obama has stood up to this
truth, and has like wise declared it a disgrace. He presently has many things
in the works to help reform this broken system and we hope & pray he does
it. First we hope he has the smarts to get our boys and men home from over
seas. We should end the affiliation with a war that is not ours, which we can
not seem to fix. We have no right over their anyways, they got who they were
supposed to be looking for and now its time to leave.
I pray
that through the Grace of God our leaders will have the "mind state".
to make better choices for the fellows who offer their lives up for our
Country. Well we know that God won't pass them by, after watching their own
Country do it to them; of this I'm confident.
May Peace be with you all. As we remember the men who protected
us, let us protect them by supporting the leaders who will care for them.....
