We really need to look at the use of the fossil fuels like oil and way benefits verses the downfalls they produce. It's been 20 years since the Valdez incident happened spilling millions of gallons of oil in the Alaskan Peninsula. We cannot sit by and watch tanke after tanker destroy our oceans and seas. There has to be a point when one stops and comes to the realization that we are going to destroy everything in the sea; all the creatures we need and used to live off of ourselves are effected.
The sea life gives probably 25 percent of what is consumed for food by humanity. Like wise everyone knows that our fresh water supply comes from condensated recycled water basically out of the ocean. The recycles condensation goes back up to the air then into the clouds and therefore is brought over the land and the rain replenishes all the fresh water supplies that we need. Well if we are going to pollute this important giant body of water which is known as a life sustaining system we are basically signing our death warrant.
All these years later 20, 30 I can't even recall at this moment because I'm overwhelmed with outrage that this portion of the ocean 1000 square mile radius and then some has not been replenished it has not come back 32% of the main species in those areas has depleted they have died or they've been diminished to the point of not being able to reproduce. Only 13 of those species after all these years has made a comeback but in retrospect after all these years it should have been a lot more then less than half.
This extremely sounds off alarms for those who are willing to listen and those who were always listening. We have to understand that because you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not their. Look at the spill we just had a few years back in the Gulf, we don't see it much anymore. Everyone involved claims that it's been cleaned up but that has to be far from the truth. Because they cleaned up the seashore and it looks as though it may be clean does not mean that all of that petroleum is not still there. Everyone knows it's heavy in the water and some surely sinks. We won't see the pollution because it will be hidden from cameras.
They are not going to tell us that they're Divers have seen any pools of petroleum polluting the bottom of the ocean. Unfortunately the sea life is probably the only way we're going to find out the aftermath of this last mess (no need for names..right?). plenty of creature are washing up all over the world; dolphins, whales, fish, starfish & more. It's a travesty in the face of the glories of nature. In the United States we have the newly celebrated fuels from natural gas. We really need to reconsidered having oil tankers bringing over oil for us, in the face of disasters after disaster. It's ridiculous. Why our nation is talking about selling these natural gases to other countries is beyond me. If we are stupid enough to sell our natural gas to other countries and yet still buy oil from other countries, having oil tankers continue to bring us ship loads of this greasy slug, is crazy. Knowing we have the natural gas to use, but instead entrust in that greasy poison makes us look like fools .
